Skin Selector Tutorial and Problems

This CLEO mod created by Ryosuke and very useful to change player to special character, pedestrian and add on skin (in skin.img).

It can be used to select CJ body part like shoes, clothes etc and change CJ body weight.


There are already a lot of people create tutorial using Skin Selector, including in Youtube. I only put my own video in here.
Some trouble shooting bugs :
1. Skin selector have file limitation, if the game crash after you install some skin, it's probably skin.img already reached the limit. Just copy paste, skin.img as back up. Delete some skin mod, and add the new skin. Rebuild with IMG tool 2.0 recommended. or IMG Factory.

2. Your game will crash if you use skin mod that have same name with ped or model in GTA San Andreas, for example bmyst, and others. Try to rename them with different name.

3. Give 7 characters name always recommended. Long name will took the memory.

4. You can add more skin with Fastman92 Limit Adjuster.
    increase directory limit in ini file.

    That picture good for reference for people who want to do it, ...
    But, i just convert models from game ...
    it's difficult for me and i need a mod like that too :D

    @Jaden if i have that Altair model

    @Chris I still figure out how to import wrl format. It seem my 3ds max not supported eventhough has importer for wrl file, blender maybe can.

    I already tried and facing difficulties from the models. They are contain several body parts and need to give material again manually ... the textures too small. If success probably i will put in here ... if not i will leave as it is.

    also i tried using the Sora model, it made player look like a chicken...it wont work for player

    damn man, that sucks! trying to fix this mod, bear 02:00 AM
    can not, I've tried EVERYTHING! but ALL SAME! I did everything EXACTLY right,
    I made several repairs, written copied pasted typed rebooked undid blacked repaired,
    a total of 485 times, and nothing but a "has stopped working"

      if you using windows 7, try run as administrator mode

    gan kenapa kok img tool ane mesti bilang "access violation at address 00460026 in module 'IMGTool.exe'. Read of address 000000" ini kenapa ya gan? cara ngefixnya gimana?

      brgkali krn windowsnya gan. Itu tool buat windows xp.
      kalau agan pakai windows 7 atau 8, coba pakai compatibility mode dan run as admin

    i'm having a problem when opening the skin selector so when i press q+e+tab it doesnt open my skin selector it instead scrolls threw my addon characters and i tried deleting skin.img but now the skin selector wont open at all. So if you could help me on this it would be appreciated thanks

      Maybe try different version of CLEO (CLEO 3 or the new version of CLEO at Cleo.li
      Don't delete skin.img, skin selector need it. Try create new one and delete old skin.img
